I love making beautiful things out of very simple things and have fallen in love with various book-folding techniques. I create my own patterns using computer software, but other than making that initial investment, I can now pick up a discarded book at the thrift store and turn it into a work of art using very minimal supplies. All you really need to create book art like this (besides a pattern which you can easily find online if you don't wish to buy your own software), is a metric ruler, pencil, eraser, scissors or exacto knife, bone folder, and lots of patience. I have always loved typography (designing with type), and enjoy origami and paper crafting, so love how book folding blends all of this together.
