Description

By using simple joining techniques you can create this striking linked jewellery set. Add some simple wirework techniques to complete the project.

Instructions

  1. Small gmc1009fig1lowres

Thread a 4mm bicone onto an eyepin, using the cutting part of the pliers trim the eyepin approximately 1cm above the bead. With the round nosed part bend into a loop and close. Repeat for all of your bicones.

  2. Small gmc1009fig2lowres

Join the beaded eyepins by opening and closing the 8mm jump rings with the multi pliers. Make four lengths of 21 bicones, one length of 3 bicones and one length of 8 bicones.

  3. Small gmc1009fig3lowres

Cut an 11cm length of wire. Approximately 4cm from the end of the wire bend a loop and wrap the short end around the wire underneath the loop. Thread on a glass flattie bead. Make a loop in the wire underneath the bead and bend the rest of the length around. Use the pliers to squeeze in any sharp ends on both sides.

  4. Small gmc1009fig4lowres

With a jump ring attach the 8 bicone length to the loop at the red end of the flattie bead. Attach a jump ring to the other end of the 8 bicone length. Attach a jump ring and a trigger clasp to one end of the 3 bicone length.

  5. Small gmc1009fig5lowres

Attach a jump ring to the other end of the 3 bicone length, join the ends of each of the 21 bicone lengths and close the jump ring.

  6. Small gmc1009fig6lowres

Attach a jump ring to the bottom of the two tone flattie bead. Pick up the first length of 21 bicones; join the sixth jump ring from the end to the open jump ring. Take the next bicone length and attach to the fifth jump ring. Add the next length on the fourth jump ring and the final length on the third jump ring from the end. Close the jump ring. Make sure the lengths are lying evenly.

  7. Small gmc1009erngslowres

To make the earrings Follow step 3 and attach a long ballwire to the loop at the clear end of the bead. Attach a jump ring to the bottom loop and add bicone lengths in the following order: 2 bicones, 3 bicones, 4 bicones, 3 bicones and 2 bicones.

  8. Small gmc1009brcltlowres

To make the bracelet Follow step three. Attach a jump ring to each side. Make eight lengths of two bicones with three jump rings, attach four to the jump rings each side of the bead. Add a jump ring to the four end jump rings on each side. Add another bicone and jump ring to one end and attach a trigger clasp. Add another two bicones ending with a jump ring on the other end.
