After messing up boiled eggs for the longest time, I finally found my perfect way of making them, no green rings or lack of peel-ability for these eggs! I hope they work out just as well for you as they do for me! :)

Get the smallest pot you can find and crowd the bottom in a layer of eggs. 6 or 7 is best :) and fill with cold water till it reaches the top of the eggs but not more. You want the eggs to be submerged in water, but not drowning if that makes any sense...
Turn on high, get to a rolling boil, then set the timer to 15 minutes, turn the temperature down a little bit, but so that it is still a rumbling boil.
When the 15 minutes is done, then turn off heat and run (very) cold water over top of the eggs and keep doing that till the water is no longer heated and let sit.
Crack on the side lightly and start peeling off the shell and the thin skin under it. Now you've got boiled eggs! :)
To make it into an egg salad, just add 1-2 dollops of mayonnaise and sprinkle paprika on top and Voila! To keep till use cover it with plastic wrap and keep in fridge for up to 3 days. *Optional* you can cut up green onions or sweet pickles (mini gherkins) and mix that with the egg and mayo.
To make deviled eggs, cut the peeled eggs in half, separate the egg yolks from the egg whites, being careful not to break the whites. Mix the yellow part with a dollop of mayo and put back into the egg halves, sprinkle with paprika for decoration. *Optional* you can cut up green onions or sweet pickles (mini gherkins) and mix that with the egg and mayo.
Ta-da! Easy peasy simplicity! Now you can make egg salad, deviled eggs, or just plain boil a few for breakfast! :)
