Painting with a bleach pen is a fun way to stencil anything on fabric. The burlap used for this sign is a nod to coffee bean bags and fits perfectly above our coffee station. Oh and if you're wondering why I chose a pheasant? Well, we rent and live in a granny chic old farmhouse apartment. The pheasants are a nod to the vintage, peeling wallpaper.

Cut burlap to fit your chosen frame. Give yourself an additional inch or so on each side.
Make or print a stencil. Place burlap on a large old box and attach the burlap to the box with pins. Then attach the stencil to the burlap with more pins.
Trace the stencil with the burlap pen. Be careful of bubbles if the amount of bleach gets too low in the pen.
Carefully remove the stencil from the burlap and fill in the remainder of the image with more bleach.
Let the bleach dry then rinse thoroughly with cold water. Allow to dry completely.
Iron the burlap before you begin the sign lettering.
Use a printout as guide for lettering and place it under the burlap. You should be able to faintly see it through the burlap. Write over it with a permanent marker.
Stretch the back of the burlap over the back of the frame and staple with a staple gun. You'll need quite a few staples. Try and stretch as evenly as possible. Otherwise, the letters might have a slight slant.
Add a picture hanger if needed and hang!
