I had some old white shoes from the 80's, that I had got at a thrift store for 25 cents. The woman at the store was ashamed that these were even put out for sale, so she gave me a deal. I loooved these shoes, I wore them out even though they were old and dirty. The cute stars on them were enough to make me dance the night away. So I decided to update them, and all I used was some black spray paint and and then sprayed them with some gloss enamel, and voila...fancy new dancin shoes.

find yourself some black spray paint let over from your graffiti days.
old white shoes only you could love
Start spraying them down with the black spray. make sure to not be too close and move the spray back and forth evenly, or you may cause the spray to drip.
Make sure to spray them a couple times to get rid off the white underneath. I let the shoes dry between coats. I believe it was 3 coats all together.
find some clear enamel spray to give the shoes a final shine.
let shoes dry for a day, then go dancin!
