About
This is a very American dish.
It is a pretty filling meal.
The biscuits are good on there own served hot with butter.

You Will Need (15 things)

Gravy
- Sausage(s)
- Flour
- Milk
- Oil
- Thyme

Biscuits
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Bicarbonate Of Soda
- 6 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Buttermilk

Optional
- Melted Butter
Steps (12 steps, 40 minutes)

Gravy...
Remove the sausage meat from the skin.
Place in a pan with a little oil.

Break up the meat & cook until cooked through.
Add the flour.
Stir through

Add milk a little at a time until you have a gravy consistency you like.

Add the thyme & stir through.
Cook for a few mins until the gravy is thickened.

Biscuits...
Heat oven 220 degrees.
Cut the butter into bits & place in the freezer for 5 mins until really cold.
Mix the flour, Bicarb, salt & sugar together.

Rub the butter into the flour mixture.

Make a well in the middle of the flour.
Add the buttermilk.
Bring the mixture together.

Place onto a floured surface.
Press out to a rectangle lightly using your hands.

Fold the dough over onto itself.
Lightly flatten out & do this again.
Roll out to a thickness of 1"

Cut into circles using a cutter.
Place onto a tray & bake for 12-15 mins.

When removed from the oven brush with a little butter.

Serve the biscuits covered in gravy.
