This was a very easy project, and I get many compliments when I wear it. :)
Looking back on it, I think it would look even better with feathers somewhere on it. I would suggest pairing with one of these projects here:

Maybe the shoulder pads could be made of white feathers that look like clouds with little tear-drop beads attached with chains? Hmmm...I think I sense another project in the near future...

Here is my shirt to begin with. This shirt reminded me of clouds in the sky, so I decided to use it for this project. If you don't have one like this, use a tye-died blue and white shirt.

First, cut out a bird shape from a piece of blue felt. I glued the bird on with fabric glue, but it is ideal to use iron-on interface.

Next, I glued on some lace trim around the collar of the shirt. Again, using fabric glue isn't the best method to attach this. If you don't find it too tedious, sew on the lace.

To finish the shirt, I took tiny safety pins and used them to attach tear-drop-shaped beads. Afterwards, I had a few extra beads, so I placed them in the center of the bird with a couple of safety pins.
