About
One of our most favorite classics dating back to 1890. It is said to have been invented by Harry Johnson, called Bijou because it combines the colors of three jewels: gin for diamond, vermouth for ruby, and chartreuse for emerald.

Strain into your icy cold fancy cocktail glass that just comes out of the freezer for maximum enjoyment. This is a sweet drink served strait-up so it needs to be extra cold not to become overly sweet.
PS for the geeky ones: Try to change the gin and see what happens, or use some dry vermouth instead of sweet vermouth and add some herbs or cucumber slices and a drop of chocolate bitters, you won't be disappointed.
