This is a very pretty and easy style top for a casual summer day. There are only 2 patterns pieces for this project, therefore the assembly steps are quite simple. However, your sewing challenge will be the finishing. The hemming will require patience and focus. Don’t rush and using lots of pins will help.

Fabric cutting: - Front: cut 1 on fold - Back: cut 2
Stitch the front and back together at shoulder. - With the good sides of the fabric facing together, pin the shoulder seams and stitch. Your seam allowance is 1/2"
- Serge the seam or zig zag the seam if you don’t have a serger
Press your seam flat to one side
Stitch the side seams together.
Serge the seam or zig zag the seam if you don’t have a serger
Here comes the long step! It’s time to hem the neck and the armhole! - Fold up the edge ¼” twice toward the wrong side of the fabric and pin
Stitch close to the inside folded edge, this will be tricky as your fabric will want to shift and move as you stitch. It will help if you pull the fabric slightly to gain control
Repeat the same for the armhole
Hem the bottom edge - Fold up the bottom edge ¼” twice toward the wrong side of the fabric and pin
when you get to the corner, make a little clip to allow the hem to lay smooth
Stitch close to the inside folded edge
Congrats! You are done! Pair the top with a pair of shorts and you are summer ready!
