I had these two earrings and like parts of each. There were just a few problems: 1. They didn't have their mate. and 2. I don't have any desire to wear 30+ year old clip-ons...plus...my ears are pierced. :) So...strap on your safety goggles!

Gather your supplies. You need: Adhesive, Needle Nose Pliers, an earring with a large stone, and an earring that is on the long side (that is...if you want something like this.
Snap the clip-on part off of the back of the "base" earring. I didn't take the picture before I did it, but you know what clip-ons look like! It's also important to NOT break the holes where the clip on snaps on. Your Jump Ring goes through here.
Now, take your earring with the large stone and start working the stone out. BE CAREFUL. When I did this, I spent a few minutes on the ground searching for the stone after it flew across the room.
This is another picture of the earring above.
Once you get the stone out, glue it to the top of your long earring. If you remember right, the holes where the clip-on snapped on is behind this stone. Loop a Jump Ring through these holes and another to that one for the necklace to go through.
Another of the finished product. Sorry I didn't get a shot of it as a necklace!
