Coins are always falling out of Tom's pockets and I find them all over the house, so I decided to make him a coin pouch for them with his favourite animal on!
Coins are always falling out of Tom's pockets and I find them all over the house, so I decided to make him a coin pouch for them with his favourite animal on!
Print out the template and cut two bear heads from tweed, two bear heads from fleece, one white mouth, two white ear inners and a little pink felt nose.
Position the bear's face so that he looks cute.
Stitch the bear's mouth in place.
Stitch the ear inners and nose in place too.
Lay the fleece pieces on top of the tweed pieces and pin in place.
Stitch the two pieces together, removing the pins as you go.
Pierce two holes where you'd like the eyes to go and slip them in place.
Your bear should now look like this.
Pin the edge of the zip to the bottom of the bear like this, with the zip upside down.
Stitch along the edge.
Pin the other edge of the zip to the back of the pouch like this, making sure that both sides match up and stitch in place.
Unzip the zip a little.
Lay the two bear heads on top of each other, so that the wrong sides are facing out. Pin around the edges and cut off the excess edges from the zip.
Sew around the outside of the pouch.
Fold your pouch inside out.
Thread a needle with some black embroidery thread.
Stitch on the bear's mouth.
Fill with coins and you're all done!
