Grab a handful of buttons or find a pretty pack of assorted colors. With some embroidery floss, seed beads and a few jewelry supplies, make yourself a one of a kind necklace!
Grab a handful of buttons or find a pretty pack of assorted colors. With some embroidery floss, seed beads and a few jewelry supplies, make yourself a one of a kind necklace!
Assemble your supplies. You can use any 2 or 4 hole buttons; I just happened to like this assorted pack. Make sure your needle will pass thru your 6/0 beads.
On a 3 yard length of floss, thread a seed bead aprox. 5" from the end, and stitch back thru it.
Add a button to the floss, leaving a little space between it and the bead.
Add another bead and stitch back thru it.
Continue adding beads and buttons until the beaded length is 15".
At 15", leave a 5" gap and string another bead. Repeat the process for another 15".
Repeat this stringing pattern a total of 4 times.
Gather your 4 segments together.
Tie the loose ends together, so that the unbeaded loop is aprox. the same length as the others (5").
Gather the ends into 2 jumprings.
Grasp the jumprings and tie an overhand knot in the floss, between the jump rings and the beaded segments.
Add a clasp to one jumpring amd a chain to the other. With a large jumpring, add a button dangle.
Admire your sewing skills!
