I fell in love with all the couture rabbit ears that were going around a few months ago and I spotted a headband similar to this for £180, so I decided to have a go at making my own. Total cost = £7!

For this project, you'll need a metal two strip headband. The one I bought was from Babyliss and had sequins on, so I removed these before starting.
Snip your beads, so you have one long strip.
Wrap the wire securely around one end of the headband.
Lay the end of the beaded necklace on top of the headband and wrap the wire around the first bead a couple of times, so it's nice and secure.
Continue along one strip of the headband, twisting the wire in between each bead.
When you get to the other side of the headband, secure the last bead and cut off the remaining necklace.
Cut the second beaded necklace and repeat the same process
Stop when you get quarter of the way up the side.
Continue twisting the wire between the beads along the necklace, taking it upwards and away from the headband.
Continue up until you get to the height you'd like your ears to be, then bend the wire down and continue wrapping the beads.
Wrap the ear back on to the base and then continue wrapping the necklace to the headband along the top.
Repeat the same process with your second ear, making sure the two match.
When you've finished wrapping the beads on to the headband, bend your ears in to your desired shape.
Lay the ears on top of your veiling and thread a needle with black thread.
Stitch the veiling on to the ears and then cut the veiling to size.
Repeat with the other ear.
Cut two small strips of black ribbon and heat up your glue gun.
Wrap and glue the wire around the ends, so that you'll be protected for the sharp edges.
They're all ready to wear!
