Make your own ear cuff for nEARly nothing, all you need is a few beads and some jewelry wire. It is also a great project for someone who is trying to branch out from beading and work a little bit more with wire jewelry.
Make your own ear cuff for nEARly nothing, all you need is a few beads and some jewelry wire. It is also a great project for someone who is trying to branch out from beading and work a little bit more with wire jewelry.
Cut a length of wire and make a loop at one end.
You're going to begin zig-zagging the wire, this will be making up the actual cuff part. To do this, use your rounded pliers and turn the wire so it is going in the opposite direction.
Repeat this 3-5 times. Try to keep each rung about the same length.
Do one more turn but instead of making this rung full length, grab the wire about halfway down and bend it so the wire now points downward.
Thread about an inch worth of beads on the vertical wire. Loop the wire at the end and cut off any excess wire.
Begin shaping the cuff portion by wrapping the zig-zag part around a pencil or dowel.
Add an accent bead to the bottom loop.
Now all you have to do is bend and shape the cuff and beads to fit your ear shape.
