I got the resources from ebay for about £5, and it didn't take that long to make.

You Will Need (4 things)

  • 30 in Hemp String or similar
  • 16 Crackle Glass Bead(s)
  • 14 in brown Leather cord
  • 1 Button(s)

Steps (10 steps, 40 minutes)

  1. 1

Measure the leather- this should be twice around your wrist and enough extra on both sides for a fastening. My wrists are quite small, so I used about 14 inches.

  2. 2

Measure the string. I used dark brown hemp. This needs to be twice the length of the leather, with a bit extra.

  3. 3

Fold the leather in half, and clamp it to a piece of cardboard or thick magazine using a bulldog clip or something similar

  4. 4

Fold the string in half. knot this onto the leather, about half and inch down the leather.

  5. 5

With the hem sting, make alternating figure 8. Do about 4 or 5.

  6. 6

Now bring the string on one side underneath the leather and thread it onto a bead. Do the same with the string on the other side. So that the bead is on both pieces of sting.

  7. 7

Bring the string over the top of the leather and back down underneath the side, and repeat threading beads. I alternated brown and orange 8mm crackle glass beads.

  8. 8

After about 16 beads, repeat making the figure 8s with the string.

  9. 9

Double knot the string onto the leather

  10. 10

Thread a button onto the end of the leather. When you remove the bracelet from the board, the top should be a hole that the button can fit through.
