I was cutting myself a slice of batternburg a few months ago, and I couldn't help but wonder 'what would this look like as a brooch?'

This is a very simple tutorial, however I didn't mannage to take any photos at the time, so I'll do my best to explain it clearly! You will need: Yellowy Creamy Felt Pastel Pink Felt Cream Thread Brooch Back Denim Off Cut
Firstly cut a large square from the cream felt. This should be the size you want the brooch, and will form the back for it. Sew a brooch back to the center of this.
Now cut one more square this size from pink, cream and the denim. Cut the two felt squares into quarters.
Take two quarters of the pink, and two of the cream, and hand sew them together with no same colour matching, to form the front of the brooch.
Now, using a blanket stitch, sew the front to the back, sandwiching the denim in the middle to give the brooch some stiffness.
And wallah, your very own yummy treat to take with you everywhere!
