I always wanted to decor my house in Halloween theme so I started early this year. It's simple, takes just a little time and looks really good. You can stick them anywhere you want - lamp, doors, walls... It's easy way to make many different bats since you can glue the wings to be lower or higher :) It's not something brilliant or unseen but I thought I'll share my way of doing this :) I added my pattern if you would like to use it. Just download it and adjust to your liking.

Draw you pattern on drawing paper, You can correct it easy this way. I fold it in half before the cutting so the both sides would be even. When you have your pattern, trace it on the cardboard.
Since I used thin cardboard I put peaces big enough for the pattern under each other and cut all five at once.
Now you have your bats bodies. It's time to make wings.
Make wing pattern. I looked for the actual wings on the internet and tried draw them more realistic with that little hook they have :D Leave a half cm to sides of the wing for gluing it on the body.
Here how it looks. Place two cardboard pieces each tame so you would have symmetric wings for you little bat.
Fold the wings as shown. This will give a nice lift to them as well as will allow them to spring a little bit.
And the bat is ready to take a nap on you doors :)Glue it with double side tape and you are done.
