Okay so, take a pencil and put in on the paper. Now draw a batman, like that - and it's okay if it sucks, because it looks kind of retarded on paper anyways. And if you don't feel like drawing it, you can print and cut my batman out.
Make sure your pattern fits on HALF of your dark blue fabric. If it does, cut the fabric in half and place them on top of eachother. Pin the batman pattern onto the fabric. (Because you want two fabric batmans to sew together). The arm is tricky to cut out so be careful - especially if you got dollar store felt. (Like me.)
What I did for the chest symbol was freehand draw a the bat in the middle onto cardboard. If you do it on paper it's likely to fall apart. If you can't freehand draw, print this out and trace. Once you have a little bat pattern on cardboard, pin and cut it out of blue/black FABRIC - NOT felt. After you have the bat, super glue it onto yellow fabric, or felt. (Felt will fray because what you're cutting out is so small.) Once it's glued onto the yellow, cut around the bat so there's a yellow oval around it. Super glue what you just made (the yellow oval with the bat on it) onto one of your felt batmans. I also sewed this down on the yellow fabric for good measure. Cut out little eyes on white FABRIC (like the ones in the picture), and super glue them onto his face. Just on the same felt batman you glued the bat symbol onto.
Place the two felt batmans on top of one another with the symbal+eyes facing OUTWARDS and pin them together. Start at the top outside of the right ear, and begin to sew all around the edge (but (not too close to edge but as close possible without ruining it) but STOP at outside top of the left ear so you can stuff him! Do not forget to sew the inside of the arm closed. It's hard and I went around three times to make sure everything was sewed up tight. This leaves a hole between his ears for you to stuff. I took cotton balls, ripped them up and pushed them in with my pinky. It's tedious, but whatever. Once you're done stuffing him, sew up the hole between his ears.
The cape. This is what my cape looked like. Draw that on paper (including the red area) or print and cut it out on black fabric. I just used an old black t-shirt. See that red area? Fold it down, and see the dashed black line? Sew what you've folded down so you have a little tunnel to put your dark blue string through. (To go around Batman's neck.) Thread the blue string through the little tunnel once you've made it, and tie it around batmans neck. I hid the knot of the string in the back. You're done! Good job. Now you've got a Batman. I lost mine.
