Description

This was my first attempt at making bath bombs and they took forever to dry, because of all of the moisture in the air but they had a delicious delicate scent and an easy fizz.

Instructions

    The ingredients.

I did all of this in the food processor because I don’t own a mortar and pestle as per most of the instructions that I read. So I used this bad boy to mix everything in and break up any clumps.

So this is literally just baking soda so you have to be careful about how you add your liquids. I added my lemon juice and my lemon extract to the mixture by themselves and they both made it fizz. Next time I’m adding the oil first then the acid on top of that.

Then just mix everything up until you get a really clumpy, slightly moist, consistency. There are many methodologies that say you should put the liquid in a spray bottle and just spray it on so the mixture doesn’t become too moist, but you can always add some corn starch to dry it out if you get a little heavy handed with the liquids.

These are actually egg molds that I got from an Asian market and I liked the way they looked and thought that they’d make really great bath bomb molds as well.

Then just fill your mold with the mixture remembering to pack it in very tightly because it’s such a light airy powder. Making a huge mess is totally optional.

Then just close the mold and leave to dry for anywhere from 8-24 hours depending on the moisture in the air.

Then once they're dry you're done and you can pop them into the bath any time that you like!
