well, because of my course (fashion knitwear) I'm constantly trying out different stitches and patterns. This is resulting in me having a growing number of squares and nothing to do with them. I have therefore decided i'm going to knit a square in each stitch and then sew everything together to make a blanket. Here is my first square! Basket stitch.

I have therefore decided i'm going to knit a square in each stitch and then sew everything together to make a blanket. Here is my first square! Basket stitch.
Cast on one row. The stitch is worked in multiples of 6 so make sure the number of stitches you cast on is divisible by 6. I cast on 30 stitches.
Row 1. Knit all the way across.
Row 2. Purl all the way across.
Row 3. Knit 1, purl 4 - repeat the whole way across the row.
Row 4. Purl 1, knit 4- repeat the whole way across the row.
Row 5. Knit 1, purl 4 - repeat the whole way across the row.
Row 6. Purl 1, knit 4- repeat the whole way across the row.
Row 7. Knit all the way across.
Row 8. Purl all the way across.
Row 9. Purl 2, knit 2- repeat the whole way across the row.
Row 10. Knit 2, Purl 2- repeat the whole way across the row.
Row 11. Purl 2, knit 2- repeat the whole way across the row.
Row 12. Knit 2, Purl 2- repeat the whole way across the row.
Repeat from step 2 until you're finished. Cast off. You're done!
