Cut two long strands of silver jewellery wire and twist together.
Make two of these.
Twist together at one end.
Place some pliers in between the two tales and then twist, to create a loop.
Continue this along the length of the wire.
Cut short lengths of wire and wrap around the twisted areas in between the loops. Point either end of the wire up, so that they look like barbs.
Cover a baking tray in tin foil, lay down a heart shaped candy / cookie cutter and fill with pony beads, so that they spread out nice and evenly. Remove one of the beads and replace with a metal eyelet.
Melt down the beads in an oven, this should take around 30 minutes. Remove from the heat and quickly stick the barb wire on top of the beads so that it sinks in to the plastic a little. Allow to cool.
Press the heart out from the cutter and remove any plastic that may have seeped inside of the eyelet (I used an eyelet punch to knock the plastic out).
Thread some cord through the eyelet and your necklace is ready to wear.
