If you are like me and dislike bibs, this is a stylish way, to keep your babies clothes dry. You can make it in under an hour.

Instructions

  1. Small 112054 2f2015 11 16 235234 bandanabib tutorial 01

    Cut your waterproof fabric in a square 32cm x 32cm (12.6"x12.6").

  2. Small 112054 2f2015 11 16 235254 bandanabib tutorial 07

Cut two opposite corners by 3cm (1.18").

  3. Small 112054 2f2015 11 16 235315 bandanabib tutorial 05

Cut your square through a diagonal. Now you have two triangles, enough for two bibs.

  4. Small 112054 2f2015 11 16 235335 bandanabib tutorial 06

Repeat the previous steps, with a cotton fabric of your choice.

  5. Small 112054 2f2015 11 16 235400 bandanabib tutorial 02

Place one of the cotton fabric triangles on top of the water proof fabric triangle, with right sides together (RST). Sew leaving a 3cm (1.18") gap, so you can turn right sides out (RSO). Backstitch at the begin and end of your seam.

  6. Small 112054 2f2015 11 19 221814 bandanabib tutorial 03

Turn RSO and press. Hand-stitch the opening or edge-stitch all the way around. Attach snaps or velcro strips in each end.
