In Over the Garden Wall there’s a bit where Greg is so hungry that he just starts making up foods and one of them is banana nut duck bread. I realize that without the context of the show this makes me sound like a total crazy person, but I happened to have three very ripe bananas on my counter and a burning desire to try something new. So I found a recipe for some basic banana bread, looked it over and then totally tossed it out the window in favor of doing something completely contrary.

Melt your butter, then add your mashed bananas and your salt and baking soda. Then add your vanilla, egg, sugar and toffee pieces. Stir everything up really good being sure not to leave any bits un-mixed. Add your flour and chocolate chips last so that the chips don’t just sink to the bottom. Pour into your pre-greased bread pan.
Bake at 350 F for 50-60 minutes. After about thirty minutes you can cover it with aluminum foil to keep it from getting as dark as mine did, but I like it because it looks hearty. For more info: https://theyearlingblog.wordpress.com/2015/10/31/day-304-banana-nut-duck-bread/
