Description

I made this mac and cheese for a New Years party and then again for Valentine's. It's quickly becoming my signature dish! You will need a LARGE (like 913 inch) lasagna dish, and a LARGE sauce pan to make the amount shown here!

Instructions

  1. Small mac and cheese 002

Cook all of the pasta. While it is cooking, cut up the hot dogs into small bite size pieces. I actually used some miniature "hot dog" shaped pieces of meat called Lil Smokies. It comes in a package near the deli meat at Winco. Not sure where you can find them in other stores. Put the meat into the Lasagna Dish.

  2. Small mac and cheese 003

Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. After you're done with the meat, start heating up all of them milk in the sauce pan. 5 cups of milk is a lot, so make sure your sauce pan is large enough! The picture is only 3 cups of milk added in the pan so far.

  3. Add the flour slowly and mix it into the milk. Don't let the milk boil! Add the shredded cheese and keep stirring until it's all melted. It will turn orange. Sorry no picture of this step, but all you do is keep stirring! DON'T LET THE MILK BOIL. I hate heating milk.

  4. Small mac and cheese 004

When the noodles are done cooking, put them all into the lasagna dish and mix it up with the meat bits. Then pour the cheese sauce on it. It will almost cover the noodles completely.

  5. Sprinkle the salt, pepper, paprika, and bread crumbs on top to taste.

  6. Small mac and cheese 007

Now stick it in the oven at 350F degrees for a half hour. When you pull it out it should look like this! Delicious!
