Use modeling clay to create a design. Flatten a ball of modeling clay and press in or carve out your design with anything that works--fingers, knife, pencil tip. I used a palette knife to carve out a design and pressed in small balls on top.
Mix equal parts of Easy Mold paste until it's a uniform blue.
Spread the Easy Mold over the modeling clay design. It will spread like cake icing. Be sure to cover the sides too. Allow it to set--about 2 or 3 hours
Peel the mold off the modeling clay design.
Press the Das clay (or other preferred material) into the mold.
Allow it to set long enough to easily separate from the mold or let dry over night. If your design is shallow, and you use Das clay, you should be able to separate them immediately after pressing the clay into the mold.
Sand imperfections, sand the back smooth and glue the applique to a wood surface with wood glue or liquid nail to a wall surface. Paint as desired with acrylic or latex paint. OR Glue the wet applique to wood with wood glue or to wall with liquid nail. Allow it to dry overnight. Sand imperfections or not and paint as desired with acrylic or latex paint.
Finished! Repeat.
