i have seen several pieces of jewellery made from cutlery at craft and jewellery fairs, so i decided to have a go myself! it is very easy to make, and you get a one-of-a-kind ring that's completely unique to you.
i have seen several pieces of jewellery made from cutlery at craft and jewellery fairs, so i decided to have a go myself! it is very easy to make, and you get a one-of-a-kind ring that's completely unique to you.
firstly, buy a tea spoon from an antique store. preferably it needs to be made of silver (not stainless steel) as this is easier to bend and mould.
put the spoon in the vice so its secure, and saw the top of the spoon off, so you are left with the handle.
now put the tube the same size as your finger in the vice and secure it. hold the spoon handle on the tube, and use the pliers and hammer to mould the handle to the shape and size of your finger.
and that is all you need to do to get a new ring.
