Had enough of your furniture looking the same? Well I sure did, decided to decorate my room and brown furniture was just getting boring. So here is a tutorial you you can get the look. It took me 6 days to do 2 wardrobe doors in between working full time and craft making.

Instructions

Choose the furniture you wish to paint and sand it down. For my shelves i found an electric sander so made it much much easier then when i did these wardrobe doors.

  2. Small 111173 2f2015 09 22 140711 image

Paint your first layer of white base paint and let it dry. Do 2 coats on each side all together letting each layer dry in between.

Pick your top colour, i chose the grey that my walls are done with (left over silk paint). I just did one coat of silk paint on each side. Once dry, sand the paint off all the edges.

Once your happy with where you have sanded, sand the inbetween places. Brush down the furniture so when you varnish there wouldnt be bits in the varnish. Varnish both sides.

Voila. My wardrobe doors went slightly green from the varnish i used as i bought cheap varnish. Still goes with my teal wall though.
