I wanted baby booties that more closely resembled the All-Star sneakers than what I could currently find, so I made my own pattern. The elastic makes these booties easy on, easy off for Mom & Dad, but they stay on well. My nephew liked them so much, I was sent pictures of him in just a diaper & his shoes.

You will need

1 4 or 2.0 mm Crochet Hook 2 White Crochet Thread Size 10 2 Black Crochet Thread Size 10 1 Yarn Needle 24 in 1/8" White Elastic 12 1/8" White Eyelet
