The big advantage with such kinds of calendar: you can "fill" it with whatever you want and don´t have to mind the size

Cut out the shapes you will need for the face (I also used different fabric for the mout), ears and antlers (2x). You will need something as a scaffold for the antlers - you might use a piece of a broomstick or an iron bar (I used a part of our old grill) - obviously it is easier to first search for a scaffold and then adjust the pattern to it´s size.
Sew mouth and stitch eyes, nose and mouth onto the face. Sew both sides of the antlers together and stuff it with wadding, leaving enough room at the "bottom line" to insert the stick, do so and close the final seam.
Sew the upper part of the head together (don´t forget the ears) and stuff it, then apply the antlers and sew together the lower part of the head. Apply strings.
ATTACH THE PRESENTS and try to keep the kids from unwrapping them all at once.
