Got a pair of earrings that could do with that something extra? Wanting to try out the ear cuff trend but don't want to buy anything new? Well, this project is for you.
Got a pair of earrings that could do with that something extra? Wanting to try out the ear cuff trend but don't want to buy anything new? Well, this project is for you.
Cut out the interfacing, thin cardboard or leather to a shape/shapes that can be stuck to the backs of a pair of earrings. Experiment by holding them up to your ears to check what the shape will look like once attached. I cut these shapes to look like leaves because the earrings look a little like flowers, but you can make whatever shape you like.
Paint interfacing shapes whatever colour you like. I used green to make the shapes look like leaves. Leave to dry.
If necessary, glue the shapes together in the position you need them to sit behind the earrings. Coat with glitter nail polish if desired.
Carefully position shapes onto backs of earrings (I used clip-ons but you can use pierced earrings as long as the back surface is flat and big enough). Glue shapes on to earrings and leave to dry.
DIY ear cuff-y earrings are finished!
