You Will Need (6 things)

  • Scissors
  • Craft Glue
  • Earrings with a flat back that can take glue
  • Stiff Interfacing or thin cardboard or leather
  • Paint
  • Glitter Nail Polish (optional)

Steps (5 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Cut out the interfacing, thin cardboard or leather to a shape/shapes that can be stuck to the backs of a pair of earrings. Experiment by holding them up to your ears to check what the shape will look like once attached. I cut these shapes to look like leaves because the earrings look a little like flowers, but you can make whatever shape you like.

  2. 2

Paint interfacing shapes whatever colour you like. I used green to make the shapes look like leaves. Leave to dry.

  3. 3

If necessary, glue the shapes together in the position you need them to sit behind the earrings. Coat with glitter nail polish if desired.

  4. 4

Carefully position shapes onto backs of earrings (I used clip-ons but you can use pierced earrings as long as the back surface is flat and big enough). Glue shapes on to earrings and leave to dry.

  5. 5

DIY ear cuff-y earrings are finished!
