I found this beautiful Vintage wedding dress & it was only $15.00 due to some stains at the bottom. I knew right away what I wanted to do with it. I recreated this beautiful wedding dress into a Summer Bohemian Shift Dress for lounging on the beach or a quick swim suit cover. I love how it turned out & it was simple, quick & really fun to do.

Find yourself a long vintage dress you love.
Remove the heavy inner lining of the dress if needed. Tip: Be very careful with this step especially if you are unfamiliar with the fabric. It takes time. With vintage items I will really rip one stitch at a time. Just be careful.
Cut 1.5 inches past your desired length so that you have room to hem.
Turn your dress inside out. Take the bottom front side of the dress & fold 1.5 inches towards the collar & iron it flat to create the Hemline.
Then fold .5 inches backwards to create an easy clean line & iron it flat.
Take your needle & thread & secure the sides of your hem.
Then go across to secure the hem. Repeat steps 4-7 on the bottom backside of the dress.
Et VOILA! A perfect Vintage Shift Dress. -Tiffany
