Description

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness…” (check out my leaf jumping foolishness above…) Here’s how to whip up your own salute to Dickens leaf-jumping skirt in minutes!

Instructions

  1. Small dscf7678

Grab a couple of funky, stretchy knits

  2. Small dscf7680

decide which you prefer for the bottom of the skirt & chop it in half under the arms

  3. Small dscf7681

take the other sweater & slice it 15 – 20cms from the bottom hem (this will soon be your waistband)

  4. Small dscf7682

Measure from one side of your waist to the other, subtract a few centimeters to allow for stretch & cut your nearly done waistband to size. Stitch the ends together…and you’re done!

  5. Small dscf7683

pop it over the almost-a-skirt right sides facing, raw edges lined up & sew together

  6. Small dscf7685

as always zigzag over top of the outside seam for extra strength

  7. Small dscf7830

    and you’re done!

  8. Small 1

Pop it on & enjoy the crisp air in your cozy new skirt!
