The Inadvertant Farmer's little craft project when a stray sock appears. We all must have one sock that we can't find the other pair to, so why not turn it into this adorable cat? This pattern can also be found in a book I bought recently called: Stray sock sewing: Making one of a kind creatures from socks.

Grab yourself a sock, I've noticed it's better if the heel is a different colour from the rest of the sock, so it can highlight the face.
Cut a narrow "U" shape from the top of the cuff down to near the heel.
Cut a small hole in the toe that you will use later for turning and stuffing. Turn the sock inside out.
Hand stitch around the ears, leaving a small gap at the top, as these will be turned down once turned the right way.
Turn the sock the right side out and stitch the ears together (so the stuffing doesn't come out).
Once stuffed, sew up the bottom of the cat. Make sure it sits up right. :)
Add some buttons for eyes.
Decorate its face with whiskers, lashes, a nose and a little smiley face. :)
