I made this bow to show you how I did the bow on the back of my jacket in my last project.
I took pictures step by step, and I hope you all enjoy and understand my second tutorial ever!
And most of all, I hope you enjoy making your own bow.
I didn't see any tutorials on how to make one like this on the internet, so I just experimented, and came up with this one.
So let's get started!

You Will Need (3 things)

  • Fabric Scissors
  • A Long Strip Of Fabric Or Ribbon
  • Needle And Thread And Thread

Steps (12 steps, 15 minutes)

  1. 1

Take an old shirt and cut a long strip about 12 inches or so long, and about an inch wide. The longer the strip, the bigger the bow.
(You can also use ribbon as your strip if you don't want to cut up a shirt. Works just the same I would imagine.

  2. 2

Your strip will look something like this...

  3. 3

Cut about 3 or 4 inches off of it, and save it for later. (It will be used to tie the bow.)

  4. 4

You should have 2 strips now. A long one, and a short one.

  5. 5

Fold the left side of the long strip over to the center.

  6. 6

    Like so...

  7. 7

Now fold the right side over, and over lap it just a little on top of the left side.

  8. 8

    It will look like this..

  9. 9

Now take the small strip and tie it in the center of the long strip, right on top of the left side, and the right side.

  10. 10

Fold in the pieces that ahng over the side...

  11. 11

And sew them in place, sewing the whole bow together in the process.

  12. 12

Once you're done sewing, the bow should look like this!
    Have fun making it!
