Kimonos are a super fun way to jazz up a Spring outfit. I especially love them worn with ripped jeans and a crop top. Since I had zero luck finding a quality kimono for a reasonable price (most stores carry them in cheap looking fabrics), I decided to make my own and share my DIY with all of you ;) For this DIY, I used 2 yards of satin fabric in a floral print and 2 yards of fringe for the hem which cost me less than $10 total at our local fabric outlet. Even though it’s fairly easy to sew a kimono without using a pattern (you can find a wonderful step-by-step DIY, here), I decided to use a ready-made pattern (Simplicity Pattern 1726) in order to save on time.

Here is what you'll need for this DIY.
Lay out the fabric and your pattern on top. Start cutting out the fabric along the pattern.
Sew your body and sleeves.
Add the fringe to the bottom hem.
