You Will Need (1 thing)

  • 1 printer paper or Origami Paper

Steps (14 steps, 5 minutes)

  1. 1

Take one SQUARE piece of paper (White works, but please, don't use card-stock, as it's too hard to fold)

  2. 2

Fold the paper every which way (Horizontal, vertical, diagonal,) until the paper is creased as in the picture.

  3. 3

ok, this part is a bit tricky, basically you are folding the paper, to make a triangle. (if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask )
    Squish this diamond/Square flat.

  4. 4

then, you fold the diamond flaps into the center of the diamond, meeting at the center crease

  5. 5

flip it over and do it on the other side ...

  6. 6

you will notice a tiny triangle at the top of the now skinny diamond, crease this backwards and forwards, reinforcing the crease.

  7. 7

then, unfold the last two folds you made, (reverting the diamond to it's full shape, with new creases.)

  8. 8

this is yet another tricky part - - now you lift the flap (from the open, bottom part of the diamond ) sorry for the bad pic - you are essentially opening the diamond up, make sure the tiny triangle we talked about earlier isn't opening...

  9. 9

now you are going to want to fold these creases down flat.
(I have a feeling a lot of people are going to have questions about this part ~.0 - I don't know how better to describe it?)
    do #8 & #9 to both sides.

  10. 10

you are going to fold the flaps in, yet again, (you will do this a total of 4 times, your diamond is going to be VERY skinny now)

  11. 11

your crane should look like this now.
    (bear with me, almost done!!!)

  12. 12

you are going to now bend the skinny 'Tails' of the diamond, upwards, this is just to make a crease, so you can do it a few times, and then fold back down.

  13. 13

to make the head, (yet another tricky part) you have to bend the crease, up inside the 'Shoulders' you can now hopefully see head, and wings. then bend the 'Beak' downwards.

  14. 14

do the same for the tail (without making a head), then pull the wings downwards,
    YOU'RE DONE!
(onmly 999 more to go, if you are making 1000)
