gather your materials btw markings are in purple to cut and stuff
lay your sock flat as shown in the picture
starting a bit above the toe seam, cut across to create the hole for your fingers
lay your sock in half like like picture. THis is for the next couple of steps (or something like that)
grab your ruler and starting from where the glove will start to where your thumb is (mine is 1 inch and 1 eighth)
now got to your sock and starting from the top mark where the thumb hole starts
draw a circle using the marking as the top. Make the circle smaller than what your gonna cut so that you won't see it
cut the hole making it a bit bigger than the marking
Try that bad boy out to stretch the fabric and make any alterations if necessary.
from where the heel starts, cut it off from either side. Save the rest for later.
Trim off excess fabric to make the end as nice and straight as you want. Now would be the time to cut off as much or as little as you want to make it the perfect length (in other words where you want it to end on your arm.)
Try it on and BAM an awesome new glove!! The next few steps will work for socks elasticized at the top, cuffed socks especially.
Get the piece you put aside ( with the heel). These make awesome arm warmers or mug cosies or really whatever you come up with!!
Decide on how long you wanna make the warmer thing. I just cut the ribbing. Now cut the piece of desired length and voila- and Warmer whatever you want!!
