How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
I found CO+K one day while browsing the internet for crafting ideas. The projects were creative and the community fun and supportive, so joining was a no-brainer.
What projects are you currently working on?
Currently I’m learning how to craft scale mail and working on a costume armor piece.

What does your craft space look like?
Sadly, I’m in a tiny college dorm now, so my crafting space consists of all the supplies I can fit in an art box.
Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?
Pliers. Besides the obvious uses of cutting and bending wire and closing jump rings, they can be surprisingly handy. Use round nosed jewelry pliers to make dimples in clay, or the kind with teeth to add texture. Then while your creations are baking, use them to flip clay or shape shrink plastic. In a pinch, they’ll even help string beads and remove those clogged bits of dried glue from the nozzle.
What do you craft along to?
Lady Gaga and Disney movies are my favorites to craft and sing along to.

Favorite Craft
Polymer clay is one of my favorite crafting materials. It’s so versatile, yet cheap and does not require any special equipment to use. My favorite thing to make would probably be jewelry. It’s art that you can wear and show off to the world!

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?
I would love to be able to knit myself a cardigan. I’ve always wanted to, but never had the patience to finish knitting anything.
Who are your crafting heroes?
Michelle from Mich L. in L.A. would be up there. If you haven’t seen her blog, she transforms the most unlikely objects into jewelry.
