We head to Coventry to meet #FeaturedMember Julie from Sum of their Stories who loves retro stuff from the 80's!
Featured Member Interview
How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
I was invited by a fellow craft blogger a number of years ago
What projects are you currently working on?
I have a couple of papercraft projects I'm working on and an 'on and off' crochet project. I'm always sewing too, mostly upcycled things for my Etsy shop.

What does your craft space look like?
I craft in our dinning room and just clear my stuff away when we have people come round for dinner.
I'm never going to be a tidy crafter, but it's organised chaos, honestly!
Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?
This depends what I'm doing. I do a lot of upcycling so a lot of my supplies come from Charity shops. I love making something new from something old.
Next most used is probably my sewing machine.
What do you craft along to?
I like to have the local radio station tuned in most of the time. Occasionally I'll take the chance to listen to a podcast but I tend to stop working when anything is too interesting!

Favorite Craft
This is an impossible question! I still haven't tried a craft that I've not enjoyed. Currently my favourites are knitting, crochet, papercrafts, sewing and embroidery. I like to try lots of different things and then I never have any chance of getting bored - ever!

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?
I tried a little felting the other day at a craft show, I'd love to give that more of a proper go, I've seen such amazing things that people make.
Who are your crafting heroes?
My Mum and both my Nans. I started my blog Sum of their Stories as a way to pass on to others just a little of the skills and enthusiasm that they shared with me as I grew up.
I love the aesthetic of Orla Kiely, Cath Kidston and pretty much anything I see in Anthropology!
These days I am mostly inspired by people I follow on Instagram and other craft bloggers.
