How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
I found out via my friend Charley and have been a member since.
What projects are you currently working on?
I have quite a thing for liquorice - so I'm trying to figure out a good way to do this flavour in cupcake form.
I am also going to be working on a friends wedding cake so will be having a go at trying turquoise velvet cake.

What does your craft space look like?
I do all my baking in my kitchen at home or sometimes I will take over a friends oven to make them something nice.
However if I'm doing a lot of sugar paste (gum paste) work I'll take over the dining room table for lots of space.
Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?
I cheat with the whisking/mixing with my Kenwood mixer.
What do you craft along to?
I usually listen to music while making and decorating cakes. I do like a range of rock, punk and ska music so various bands such as Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Green Day, Kasabian, Korn, Feeder, Jimmy Eat World, Muse and many many more tend to pop up. The heavier bands such as Rammstein are great when mixing colour into your sugar paste!

Favorite Craft
My favorite craft of all is baking. I really enjoy making cakes and deserts with the most fun being with cupcakes. Bite-sized cakes that can be made in all shapes, sizes and flavours that can be quick and simple or more intricate and amazing. I will often make far too many than I need which my colleagues in work appreciate.
I always used to enjoy making things with play-dough so making edible creations for people to enjoy is fantastic.
Jade's Top Crafts
If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?
If I could learn a brand new craft I would learn how to knitt so I could make clothes for friends children or learn how to brew my own beer for my husband to enjoy and for me to use in steak and ale pies.
Who are your crafting heroes?
Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood - I had the pleasure of meeting Paul at a food show last year so hopefully will get to meet Mary too.
