Hey, just thought I'd give you guys a heads up about this.

Considering I joined this site so long ago, my bio seemed to use some updating. However, when I attempt to save the changes I make, the following page informs me that:
    "The www.cutoutandkeep.net page isn’t working
www.cutoutandkeep.net is currently unable to handle this request."

Changing my location seemed to work just fine, so I think it is a problem with just the profile edit section. Maybe this is something to look into? Thanks in advance Happy

Hi all, just thought I'd suggest something that has been on my mind for quite a bit.

When I favourite a project its because I intend to somehow use it, and I don't think I'm alone on this. That's a great function of the site, being able to save all the projects I'd love to try in my favourite section. What I find however, is that there are plenty of lovely projects I'd love to show appreciation for or commend the creator for, but I don't want to essentially clutter my favourite section with projects I don't intend to try myself and I'm a little too shy to leave a comment.

Furthermore, its a little sad to see hundreds of projects on the site with 0 favourites that really deserve some appreciation! But I think that a lot of users are like me when deciding to favourite a project. In order to combat this, I think the introduction of a "like" or "upvote" button would be wonderful! There seems no need for an additional dislike button, because we are a supportive community who I don't imagine would discourage creativity or critique people with this function.

I just thought I'd put this idea out there (I'm sorry if it has been proposed before). The image attached is just something I whipped up in 5 minutes to show what this might look like.

If you're anything like me, wearing jewellery that's anything less than pure silver/gold will turn you green (even if its silver plated or stainless steel!)

But, I thought I'd share a little tip with you guys. If you're having a problem with this, why not cover the back of your pendant (the part that's making contact with your skin) in a clear coat of nail varnish Happy
    works like a charm!

Hey there guys, I'm trying my best to figure out the instructions to this pattern. I've finished up to round 24, but beyond there for some reason I just can't seem to figure it out! :/ I'll post the instructions below, I hope someone can help me.

    Base: CH 21
    Row 1; 20 SC, CH 1, turn.
Row 2: 2 SC in 1st, 18 SC, 2 SC in last sp, CH 1, turn.
Row 3: 2 SC in 1st, 20 SC, 2 SC in last sp, CH 1, turn.
    Row 4-17: 24 SC, Ch 1, turn.
Row 18-24: 2 SC in 1st, SC to last sp, 2 SC in last sp, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 25: 38 SC, Ch 50, SL to 1st SC made to make round, CH 1, turn.
Rnd 26: 50 SC in CH 50 sp, SL to 1st sc made, Ch 1, turn.
Rnd 27: 88 SC around, SL to 1st SC made, CH 2, turn.

At the end of round 24 I have 38 stitches as I think I'm supposed to have, but from there, having to chain 50, then SC 50, I end up with those 50 stitches. How am I supposed to have 88 stitches? I realise I'm supposed to have 50 in addition to my 38 (thus 88), but I can't make sense of this pattern! I don't know if I'm just having a dumb day or what, but can someone help please? I'd really appreciate it

Just a quick input, I could rant forever about this but I'm going to show some self control haha
I always refer people to this video:

It brings together both scientific fact and charming cartoon humor ^^

Sorry, but it just sounds terrible, and yet I've heard that its great...

I was just wondering, has anyone here tried it? Is it worth making?

The idea of the taste of bacon in addition to the taste of banana, wrapping the former around the latter and then grilling them....I don't know, it just sounds like a terrible taste combination, but I hear its quite popular

Ah, I'd never even heard of 'blocking' before o.o
Sounds like exactly the answer, so thank you for letting me know
I found a great how-to right here on CO+K that tells me how to do it and I'll post the link here incase anyone else has a similar problem

See, the problem i'm having is that they wont stop curling in at the ends...Its irritating me and I have no idea why they do it or how to make them stop

I chain 1 stitch at the end of every round to turn the scarf and work back along it, should I NOT be doing that?

I hope a more experienced crocheter can help me, I haven't been learning very long

Hmm, it seems that even after trying again to publish (i tried again 5 or 6 days ago), I still have no luck
I've categorized the projects, added tags etc... and when I click publish there doesn't seem to be any problem at all they're just...not publishing (or so a little grey "Not publishing" sign says on my projects page)
I really have no idea what the reason could be, I've never experienced the problem before

actually, i hadnt checked the front page at all, only my own projects page which has a small grey bar saying "Not published" in the top right corner

thanks for the suggestion, i'll try again Happy i wish i were making a fuss about more quality projects rather than these ones i whipped up in no time haha, but i'll need to know how to properly publish in future

ah, i do miss the old site.....but i digress, thank you pam Happy its unsurprising that youre an admin, couldnt have picked anyone better

basically, its been ages since i published anything on this site because...well, i had nothing TO publish for a while...

so i thought "what the heck", made some stuff and decided to put it on....this was quite a while ago

I have clicked the publish button many times, and waited....I know that sometimes they take several days to appear, but this has been...over two weeks now i think

Im just a little concerned really....anyone else having the same problem? or is it just me doing something wrong with the new version of CO+K?

as a bit of an update, i thought id let everyone know that i finished all the blankets Happy all 60!
theyre all being sold for £8 (about $12.80) which for all 60 earns me £480! (about $773!)

having been so busy making them, i neglected my other crafts and this site as well, but i really want to thank everyone for their very helpful replies and opinions Happy i feel like ive made a real profit with all your help and avoided being taken advantage of.
also, the blankets as it turns out are going to a childrens home ^^ so hopefully there are some kids out there all snug with my blakets for the winter, and just that thought makes me feel good....but the money doesnt go amiss haha
