    definately punk.
    emo is too mainstream and whiney and sounds too much like every other emo band.

    punks been around forever and have always stood for something
    and again, not all punks look alike, whereas emos have almost the same look to all of them.

    i've been both, so i think i know whats goin down with both. :]
