I have a rant too We have pretty good recycling where we live except the council's collection service is utter shite. Most weeks they miss out collecting at least one of our bins which means we have to leave it out and ring and moan. By leaving them out people start using them as rubbish bins as we live on a busy road in the city and have a few pubs and takeaways. This means the bins get contaminated and the council don't collect them but they don't tell us its because they're contaminated. Its really annoying as the bins weren't contaminated to start with. Ahhhh.

A seed swap would be cool. We might need to attract some more people to this section but I'm sure I'll have stuff left over when I plant for this year.
Nothing on Ashley? Ginger says she's following Ashley's blog and she has had a little girl. i'm hoping she'll post on here soon.
I'm a really keen gardener and wondered if there were other crafty gardeners out there in CO&K Land. I have my own allotment with my bf where we grow herbs, veg, fruit and some flowers and we have tons of plants around our flat.
I've been trying to gradually replace our cleaning products in our flat with less harmful ones which are kinder to the environment. My biggest find was reading about the amazing cleaning properties of white vinegar. Its not only good as a cleaning spray its really cheap. I bought a spray bottle from Wilkonsons (UK store) for less than a £1. I need to read up properly on what you can use it for cleaning. Otherwise most of our household products are now Ecover, my shampoo is from Lush (one of the solid bars that is shampoo & conditioner) and most of my make up is Barry M.
www.lush.co.uk - my favourite place for buying smellies.
http://www.hapibean.co.uk/ - my friend Jo's company. She makes 100% environmentally friendly candles from soya wax using recycling old tealight bases. They're much less smoky than regular candles and are better if you have asthma.

Cool Thanks.
Oh cool Thats really good news
Just in case people didn't know Ashley (who's running this swap) was heavily pregnant and has probably now had her baby (due beginning of Sept) so I think that's why she's vanished. I'm guessing she will reappear when she gets a second to herself. I think she had 2 other small children already so she's probably wiped out
Oh thats not good A few people seem to have vanished recently which is a shame. Maybe the credit crunch is to blame? I hope your stuff is on its way and has just been delayed as I love all the bits you made me. The mirrored earrings get a lot of comments and they're really cool as they go with everything
Cool stuff I love the bracelet.
Kiddo, Sugar, Michelle G & Becstar are all great Michelle seems to run on crafty rocket fuel and never misses when someone is feeling crappy and is always there with tlc, Sugar always makes me smile with her facebook status, Kiddo makes amazing jewellery and my little bat (that she made for one of my swaps) lives just by the bed and always makes me smile and Becstar goes to my old uni and lives unbelievably close and like Michelle is always has something kind to say
I love candy floss but you usually get it at the fayre or seaside towns on the sea front
This is rapidly becoming one of my favourite threads on here I forget that although I talk to loads of you loads I actually don't really know what you look like. Spright (who I think started this) good itea
I'm all done so hopefully I'll be sending out tomorrow Does anyone know if Ashley is okay. She was due to give birth at the beginning of this month so I hope it all went well. I'm suspecting she's up to her ears in babies at the mo
