There are a few massage oils which are good on the face; from memory I think they are wheatgerm, advocardo and evening primrose oil. You might want to double check that but also spending about 10 minutes massaging your face will be good for your skin. It will help loosen dead skin cells, improve the circulation and help your skin to absorb the oil.
Thanks I'll have a look out for those. I like hearing new stuff.
I'm in England too and have noticed several of the high street shops are looking for seasonal staff. You might be able to pick up some Saturday work for the Christmas period. Selling stuff you've made is also a good idea. Also you could look into Avon as their stuff is pretty popular and if you build up a bit of a round you can make a bit of money. Its not big money but a few of my friends who have kids have done it and have said its nice and flexible and a good way to build confidence. I wouldn't go door to door though, I'd probably start with school friends, friends of the family and neighbours who you know. Like Michelle said you don't want find out you've got a dodgy neighbour the hard way :/. Good luck though.
I made a list a few years back of things that help me when I'm really low and its actually a really big list. I would recommend others try it. Mine was started when I was well but I add odd things here and there if I try something and it helps. Recently I've found keeping thought records helps. Thats something I've learnt in CBT and basically I have to write down the event that has triggered my mood to go down, what I'm feeling and my thoughts. you then pick out the thought that really sticks out and start to list the evidence for and against that thought being true. It really helps slow down my thoughts as when I get low they can very rapidly become very self destructive which makes me feel worse. I also found some odd things that help. I found looking on flickr (a photography site) at pictures of butterflies helps. I love butterflies and its something about their beauty distracts me enough to lift me a little. My DS also helps as I can play something on it anytime, day or night and because I keep it by the bed I can just switch it on if I'm not sleeping and it doesn't disturb anyone. My thoughts always get most negative and self destructive at night.
Dakota by Sterophonics. For some reason its been stuck in my head today so thought I'd exorcise it
Peter Brame - Secret Suicide. He was on Fame Academy years ago and didn't do that well but I loved his voice so I eventually found his album online and downloaded the MP3 of it.
I always liked Pogo Inferno as a band name. I read the phrase in review of a Compulsion gig I went to and thought it would make a great band name.
I just checked you on LastFM Cool music. I barely recognised any of the artists which always intrigues me.
I'd not thought of putting teabags in the bath. That sounds nice. Do you have to use a few?
Good luck Gypsie with doing a course in the spring. Massage was great to do as you practice on each other and get a free massage every week
I've heard Oat bagged up is good in the bath if you have dry or sensitive skin. I keep meaning to try it. Have you tried it Michelle? I know you have very sensitive skin.
I love the first pic - are they a fungus? They look really magical. The berries are beautiful too. I love going out and about in autumn because nature produces such beautiful colours at this time of year.
I'm doing CBT at the moment and thats been brilliant and has helped a lot. Unfortunately I'm near the end (I've got 2 sessions left) but I do my homework religiously and on a good day I do believe it will work and can see the difference it makes. Thankfully I've able to work for most of this episode. I had 6 weeks off at the beginning and a week about 6 months ago when I got really bad again. I was seeing the Crisis team then though.
It's great to hear that you have overcome yours. Sometimes I think its something that does eventually go but you just have to live through it the best you can. I went through it about 3 times before and didn't take medication then or have any treatment and I was really unwell on at least 2 of those occasions. I think I was luck y then tho as I wasn't working then, I was still studying. I think working is much harder as you need to earn money and once you give up a job it can be really hard to get back.
Does Celexa go by any other name? I'm on Venlafaxine, I was also on Mertazapine but I didn't like taking it and it scared me cos I had some horrible thoughts about ODing on it as it feels really powerful and the tablets are really tiny. I have also been on Fluoxitine too but that didn't really touch the sides.
Fish oil is a good idea, especially as I get problems with my knees too. I'm a bit crap at remembering to take pills tho so I have a doset box but I think a fish pill will be too big to fit in. I'll have to find another way to remember . A lamp might be a good investment too. I'll have to have a look around and check prices out.
Creative the shop looks lovely but did you know you've spelt Twilight wrong on the front page. I didn't notice it at first but just spotted it now. Otherwise its great so good luck
