While I was growing up it was the Drac Pack but it was only on for a really short time so barely anyone knows it or remembers it. I also like Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny Happy

I was really horrified by this and really moved by what this woman is going through and was talking to my partner (who's brother lives out in Texas) and he has said has she written to her congressman. I'm not very clued up on US legal system and politics but he says that these are the people in the position that can make changes or get things moving in the right direction. I hope that is true and that her husband can be sent back. Love is such a powerful thing and can make such a difference. My heart really goes out to this woman and although I'm not religious I do believe in positive thinking and I will be sure to keep her in my thoughts and pass on this facebook group to all my friends. x

I find fashion in general a really weird thing and never cease to be amazed at how little thought people put into the slogans they are wearing. People will walk around in t-shirts with these great slogans about doing your bit for the planet but have no interest at all in doing anything of the sort. They'll probably chuck the t-shirt out when it goes out of fashion. Unfortunately I don't know that theres much that can be done about these odd little fads that come and go. Companies definitely hook into them and try and use them to market their stuff but I don't mind that so much if it means there is more choice out there and the companies have genuinely gone greener. I still tend to stick with Ecover stuff though as I know the name and trust them to be the genuine article.
In spite of this little moan I would say that however thoughtless some of the fashion trends are how little of it seems to be genuine concern for the planet I think it does gently filter through into politics and peoples consciousness which can't be bad. I've always voted Green, not because I think we're going to get ourselves a Green Prime Minister but because I think it lets the politicians know that there is that public concern. Unfortunately I don't notice it so much in the countries politics but you do see little differences at a local level.

I don't think its just a male thing. i think is actually part of depression. It distorts how you think and see yourself and tells you that asking for help is pointless and weak. You need to challenge it though as its such a dangerous illness. I don't know the figures but I bet it kills as many as cancer. If it helps try imagining it as a lump in your head that you need the doctor to check out. Even though its emotional it is a physical and real illness. I really struggle to hold onto that thought myself but I have to keep reminding myself its an illness not a personality flaw!

I feel like pooh at the mo Happy Really anxious all the time so my hands are shaking and my chest feels really tight. I think its my phobia of sick playing up cos I was in a cafe with a group of clients a couple of weeks ago and some old bloke was sick. He was with a Carer and it was unavoidable and the staff in the Cafe were really good and got the bucket and mop out straight away and gave the carer stuff to clean the old bloke up with but it just means I can hear it in my head and I'm jumping if someone coughs and everytime I go out somewhere public I'm looking for escape routes, especially if there is food. I had to take today off work as I was so bad yesterday afternoon. Its made me feel really awful about myself and low. I've been doing the things that help but its still really tough and frustrating.

I love the bits you made Rhibi - the mobile is really cool Happy Did you find putting jump rings through toy dinosaurs a nightmare. I did when I made the earrings and keyring for Ashley. I think the Stegasaurus got flung across the room at one point! ;)

I can't believe so many people have commented on this. Its cool and quite a relief that people do understand and others don't like it.

I feel like I'm taking a bit of a gamble writing this as people will probably think I'm a total scrooge but I absolutely detest Christmas. I think its partly because I suffer from Depression and Anxiety (plus a phobia of sick) and all of those get worse in the lead up to christmas. I'm not religious either (I'm a humanist) so I hate the horrible pressure I feel to be excited and all upbeat about one day of the year.
As this is a rant, I might as well go the whole hog and say what I really don't like about this time of year. I hate that the shops and streets being chocablock full of people spending money on crap that costs twice the price it would usually cost just cos its got a slightly christmasy theme. I'm not a total scrooge tho and do buy my family presents and send them. I figure its my choice but I resepct that fact that they do choose to celebrate it.
Last year me and partner went down to the south coast for the week and didn't celebrate christmas at all. We actually had a lovely break and went fossil hunting on Christmas day. We saved a futune and it was so relaxing and so lovely.

Apparently honey is meant to be good too. You coat your face about once a week and leave it on about half an hour. I'm trying to find where I read it but I think thats right. Its meant to make your skin really soft.
