I've just set myself up an account and your shop is the featured shop!
I noticed you don't ship outside USA which is a shame as I'm in the UK - I'll have to admire from a distance Good luck though

I agree with Dessah and Creatives comments - your stuff is lovely and not overpriced. The pics are also lovely and colourful and I love your logo. Do you have a flickr account? That can be quite a good way of showing off your stuff without feeling 'in your face'. If you're not familiar with it its a photography site - you can set up an account for free and you upload your pics. You can join groups and post pics in the group gallery and people can leave comments and favourite your pics. I find it good for testing the waters with a new idea as it shows you the stats of how many times your pics been looked at. You can also look at others stuff to get inspired. I put a link to my shop in the description. I figure if people like my stuff and are interesting in looking at my shop they can but if they don't then I'm not ramming it down their throats
Another place that maybe worth setting up an account and its free is Deviantart.com - its an art site but there is the option of uploading pics of creations like handmade jewellery - you post it in the group artisan crafts. Several CO&K ladies are on there too. If people like you stuff then they can comment and favourite your pics and become a watcher (so they get updates when you upload more pics). These are just thoughts but they are free so I figure you have nothing to loose. Also twitter is another free way of marketing yourself. I would recommend with Twitter that you mix up updates to include a few none sales ones - that way people are more likely to follow you. I've noticed if you keep it all sales and marketing then people tend to treat it as spam.
Hope those ideas help.
P.S I've book marked your shop so I can go back after payday
Have you looked on Youtube? There might be some tutorials or something on there. Youtube seems to have something on everything

Thanks Sheila. I've gone back up on my Venlafaxine to 150 as 75 was making me feel so low. I only managed 2 hours at work Thursday The Psychiatrist suggested I go back to 150 if I wasn't managing so thats what I've done. Its a bit frustrating tho as I liked the thought of coming off the Venlafaxine. Even though I still get a bit paranoid about the pschiatrists motives for putting me on the mertazapine I loved the thought of my doset box shutting When I was on 300 of the Venlafaxine it would pop open if I didn't arrange the pills carefully. It was like packing a suitcase.
I got Martha's last week and have filled it in so I should be able to stick it in the post tomorrow
Cloudgurl1986 - I've added you to the America 2 list on page 1.
Lol Simply soap may sound a bit like Simple Soap which is an existing product. I'm not sure how copywrite laws work but I would have a good scan around the internet to check that anything you go with isn't already out there and owned by some big brand. One of our friends posted something on his site as an idea for his band and got some legalease email from someone claiming to be that artist. He was only posting it for a laugh but companies/artists can take things very seriously even if you've never heard of them. Also it would be crap if you spend loads of time and money designing a logo and marketing your product only to find you can't use that name.
Thats how it should work - if they put contact details or details of their blog or twitter or whatever they choose you can keep in contact. You will also have filled in a page in their book.
I've entered I've also added you to the blogs I follow. If you want to check out mine I'm at www.kitkatkatchat.blogspot.com
I just spotted a new person signing up Hi JellyStitches - as the USA group is already rolling I will start a new list off and put you at the top. It may mean waiting a little bit for some new American crafters to sign up but I think that will work better than trying to add a new person to an existing group. I hope that sounds okay. I will put the new list on page 1 off this thread so its easy to find.
Sorry Pepperpotts I just saw your post. Debs explained it perfectly though so thank you Debs It looks complicated when written down but once it gets going it will become clearer.
I'm trying to think of something that its like - have you ever played the game at school with 3 friends where everyone has a piece of paper - everyone draws a head at the top and folds it over. It gets passed round in a circle and then everyone draws the middle bit of the body with arms and folds it over again. It goes round like this until the legs and feet are drawn and then gets passed back the person who started it and everyone opens the paper up and has a strange kind of creature that everyone has drawn a bit off.
Its a little like that, except we're not drawing a creature, we're creating little friendship books where each page has something written on it from each of the 5 other people on the list.
When you get them back at the end (fingers crossed noone vanishes in a puff off smoke!) you will know a little bit about each of the people and you get to know each other better. Also you will have these little books where everyone has personalised a page with their own style - its lovely when it works
Thank you I can't wait to see what you did.
Sounds like a daft question but whats your dogs name? I use my cats' nickname for my shop. I think creating a shop name is hard but I like knowing that it has some personal significance.
Another tip I have been told before is to gather together all the things you can think off that are meaningful to you and the brand you are selling. When you have them all in front of you it might get your creative side working. You just write down everything that comes into your head, good or bad, and then sift through them.
How is Mei said? I'm assuming its said 'me'. If it is then that opens up lots of possibilities. I'll have to have a think on this and come back to . Soaps sounds like a really good idea for expanding your range though so good luck with them.
I've added yours too
