Stupid-Picky BF Needs Halloween Costume!

So here is the deal:

Halloween is coming up, and as always, Shlomi is being really difficult about his costume. I already know how I'm going to dress up, but he is so particular! I'm going to be S. Holmes, and I suggested he be Watson (HOOOWWW fun would that be??), but he says nobody here will get it, and he doesn't like it, and blah blah...

He is VERY particular about his costumes--For example, he has been a LOLcat, a religious Jew (he is secular), Achmed the Dead Terrorist (Jeff Dunham puppet) and even Santa Claus. He prefers being internet memes, etc. Also, he is a huge nerd, so anything technological or ironic (that an Israeli would understand) might also be possible.

Can anyone help me out with this? Last year he procrastinated so long and was SOOO picky that last-minute he threw on the Santa hat and made me draw on a white beard. It was SERIOUSLY lame. :-P

Dress him up as an old man and print one of the funniest quotes on his shirt or something.

This is one of my favorite "Internet sensations"...don't know if he knows it.

He could be waldo from "wheres waldo" or a nerd from "nerds revenge" (its a 80's movie in which the outcast of a scool pull pranks on the jocks. really funny movie if you havnt seen it. OR a MIME.. or uhhh last year my husband wore a gas mask and went as " a human trying to breath on mars" hes really picky too so i feel your pain. He put the costume together like a hour before going out i was so upset of lack of thought. but thats a man for you. Happy all and all i hope i gave u some ideas.. or him some ideas. or you could google halloween costumes ideas for men and look at some pre done ones for ideas. i hope i helped.

He just doesn't want to be Dr Watson because that means your character will be brighter than his my love. tell him if he wants to be in a loving relationship NEXT October he's going to have to pull his finger out and choose. Worked on my Alex. x

All good suggestions, if he likes Jeff Dunham then he could always dress up as one of the other puppets - like Walter? I don't know, there's not much I can suggest here :S

Thanks for the help, everyone--at least I know I'm not the only one with this issue. ;) I mean, breathing on Mars? REALLY?? xD

The problem is, aside from it being something HE really likes, he insists that it will be something easily-identifiable. He hates costumes that have to be explained all night.

It's so difficult because of that... he wants to have an obvious, yet original, costume. x.x

One of my favorite costumes ever was when we dressed a friend up as Judas Priest. Just a suit, a white collar and a really old bible plus the name tag sticker that said "Hello My Name Is... Judas"
There's a lot you can do with other band names too that wouldn't be too difficult and be one of a kind. Just a thought Happy

My boyfriend is the same way. We normally go as couple themes. We've been Romeo and Juliet, The Devil and his Whore, Gomez and Mortisha and Angel and Willow. I've produced several ideas for him this year and he's turned all of them down. The only one that he kind of liked was A Mad Scientist. Me, I was thinking of putting on a black slip dress, covering myself in oil and carrying around a gulf club and being the oil spill in the gulf. But he is so difficult it's kind of ridiculous. If it isn't cool, nerdy or goth he doesn't want to do it. And last year he was so late in the game he just threw on some clown make up and went as "last minute" or something stupid like that.

I think it's hilarious that your Jewish boyfriend likes to dress up as a Muslim Terrorist and Santa Clause for Halloween. Maybe this year he should go as a Nazi or a Roman Soldier, or Jesus or Matisyahu.
