Moving to Australia for 6months
I'm very lucky to have some relatives so I'll have the chance to see more than just the touristic places!
I live near Rome, the area is known as "Castelli romani" and it's famous for wine: you're all very welcome chez moi if you pass by ^__^
I really can't wait for Christmas period in summer I think that will be the most odd thing to experience
Yeah I reckon it'll be a bit odd to have prawns and beer at Christmas instead of the usual wintery noms
What do you do in Italy for Christmas? Is it the usual movie-style turkey etc, or do you have special Italian Christmas dishes and stuff? Lol I sound like such a culture noob. I know nothing
We have big family reunion and there are traditional menù for the xmas eve dinner and xmas lunch: we usually have "tortellini in brodo" or lasagne, a main meat or fish dish and the tipical Panettone and Pandoro (Google image them!)
Hey Susanna, thanks honey. The one thing my dad did say was pretty weird (in a good way) when he went to Australia was celebrating Christmas on a hot day, on the beach with a big christmas tree there, people going in and out of the sea with Father Christmas hats on a loads of BBQ's going on...
Lasagne and panettone *drools*. Also, by mentioning brodo you have given me a soup craving. Thanks Looks like I'll be spending tomorrow in the kitchen.
