How did you get started?
In 1911, Fred Curry opened his Art Supply store at the corner of Yonge and Bloor Streets in downtown Toronto. Although he carried artist materials and photographic equipment, the business revolved around custom framing and the sale of etchings and oil & watercolour paintings.To this day, Curry's remains family-owned and a is proud supporter of Canadian artists, offering an exciting selection of art supplies and creative materials, all with competitive, artist-friendly pricing.

Curry's has 11 stores located throughout southern Ontario, along with our website to service artists across Canada.
Which products do you specialise in?
We specialize in fine art supplies & creative materials and offer a vast product selection to fit every budget. We work with all artistic abilities, from the casual hobbyist & beginning artist to art teachers and students & professional artists alike. We have inspiring and quality materials to fit any creative project in mind!
Do you have a particular favorite product that you sell?
It's difficult to pick just one favourite product, so today I'd go with acrylic pouring medium. This is such a versatile product - virtually anyone with any ability can produce amazing results! What I also like about this medium, is that the artist has to give up some control, and allow the material to essentially have it's say as to what your work will look like, as it shifts and changes through the drying process. Watching your work evolve before your very eyes is part of the fun in using this medium. And for those artists that are looking to loosen up their working style, this would be a perfect material to check out.

When visiting our Queen West Toronto flagship location, there are so many great restaurants, shops and galleries in the area to check out. Also some fantastic street art to discover throughout the back alleys.
